[edit]Hello, The Living love; thank you for submitting this grant request. We have the following observations:
- We are unable to fund three separate events as part of the initiative; if you are interested in going forward, please edit the proposal to request expenses for one. We will check for a reduction of the grant amount by two thirds.
- We are no longer funding the printing of T-shirts for initiatives like this, and we are unable to pay stipends for people. You are free to edit the transportation part of the budget to include transportation for volunteers, but please remove the T-shirts and stipends.
- In terms of participation incentives, the combination of catering and stationery is excessive; please choose one or the other.

- Thanks MMontes (WMF) for the observations;
- Since you won't be able to fund three events at the same time,
we will go on to do the trainings, and will try to engage people who have shown interest to contribute to the projects.T-shirts and stipends would be removed and for the incentives we will give Refreshments during the training since it will take us few hours, and stationery items are no longer needed but we may need to have a Wikipedia banner at the training venue. ThanksThe Living love (talk)
- Hello, The Living love; what I meant was that we can only fund one training. Using the estimates you gave, if we fund the venue + internet + refreshments + printing of a banner to be reused in future initiatives, the grant should be 500 USD. MMontes (WMF) (talk) 18:16, 11 July 2019 (UTC)
- Ok MMontes (WMF), that's fine, since this is my first project, but the impact of the event will be less than required, I will readjusted the proposal ones again,
but you'll see an increase in the budget this time due to economies of scaleincluded bus tickets. Regards. The Living love (talk) 18:42, 11 July 2019 (UTC)
Further comments from WMF
[edit]- Can you please provide more details about the trips you plan to undertake, in terms of list of locations and type of transportation? WMF is no longer funding travel, so I am trying to see if there is a way to align this part of the grant with our funding guidelines. MMontes (WMF) (talk) 13:25, 17 July 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you MMontes (WMF), OK, for the trips, we plan to go to four LGAs which made up the Kaduna metropolis, they are Kaduna south, Chikun, Kaduna North, and Igabi Local government areas, and would also include a visit to the state tertiary institutions with some other places and secondary schools etc, we will hire a car to carry out these trips on 6 different occasions. For the travel
before we consider two of our editors (Abubakar A Gwanki and BASHIR A SANI GWANKI) who are based in Kano state, They are among our few active editors in Hausa Wikipedia, and have been contacting me since before this project, that they wanted to come to Kaduna in order to teach them on how to improve their editing skills, that's why I consider them and use this opportunity and included their transportation fares as they are among the volunteers we would work together with during the events.but now we will only use local volunteers for the trips in order to conform with the WMF guidelines of not funding travel.The Living love (talk) 22:19, 17 July 2019 (UTC)

Request Date Extension
[edit]Hello Alex Wang (WMF), please I would like to request an extension of the project end date from 30 November to 10 December, this is because of the delay incurred while awaiting the grant funds, and the new date will give us more time to prepare as we need to print materials that will be used for the event. Thank you for your support, Regards.The Living love (talk) 23:52, 15 November 2019 (UTC)
