It would be great to hear more about what your experience was running a similar event last year. Were you able to support any of the new participants after the event? Hi Alex Wang (WMF), many thanks for your question. We were able to continue the communication with the participants after the event, a pair of attendees were part of two workshops organized by Wikimedia Colombia in Maicao, a town close to the border, we help them for make it to this event knowing the importance of close the ties between the communities in both sides of the border. Since this experience in Colombia, one of them is helping me with the organization of this edit-a-thon and she have the potential, with the correct support of the movement, to become a facilitator of this kinds of events in the future, cheers --Oscar_.
