Hi Krishna Chaitanya Velaga. Thank you for this request. As you can read in our funding guidelines, we do not fund personal equipment requests. If there is a more robust plan for sharing the portable wifi hotspot with other members of your community and for its use during upcoming outreach events (how many in the next 6 months and what are they?), then we can consider the request. Also, please note that the endorsements section should be used by other members of the community to demonstrate their support for your project. We know you are supportive of the grant proposal because you wrote it :) Best, Alex Wang (WMF) (talk) 19:49, 25 October 2017 (UTC)
- @AWang (WMF): Hi Alex, thanks for reviewing my proposal. I have already mentioned in the impact section that I would use it for atleast four outreach events, and if possible more. Of these, two have been already planned and rapid grant applications have been already proposed, they are VIVA-VVIT Edit-a-thon Part 2 and OpenCon 2018 New Delhi. With my project grant "Edit-a-thon series 2018 (India)" proposed, this is will be of great use to support that if the project gets approved. Apart from my use, it'll used during regular meet-ups of VVIT WikiClub. Regards, Krishna Chaitanya Velaga (talk — mail) 03:01, 26 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Krishna Chaitanya Velaga. Yes, I did understand it would be used at outreach events but we also need a more specific plan for how it will be shared amongst community members. There needs to be a process for letting others access the equipment so that it can be shared in an equal manner. Thanks, Alex Wang (WMF) (talk) 03:10, 26 October 2017 (UTC)
- @AWang (WMF): I'll create a sub-page at of VVIT WikiClub, and list the equipment. So that it can be tracked among the community members. --Regards, Krishna Chaitanya Velaga (talk — mail) 03:12, 26 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Krishna Chaitanya Velaga. Thank you. Once you've created the page please be sure the let community members know about the equipment and process for sharing. I will move forward with approval. Best, Alex Wang (WMF) (talk) 03:15, 26 October 2017 (UTC)
- @AWang (WMF): Thanks for support. A public equipment tracking page has been created at VVIT WikiClub/E. Regards, Krishna Chaitanya Velaga (talk — mail) 03:22, 26 October 2017 (UTC)
