Dear Luigi Catalani,
Thanks for this submission! It's great to see art+feminism events happening in various regions of Italy, and we are glad to see collaborative efforts in putting them together respectively. Before we're able to make a decision on this, I have a couple questions:
- We notice that the only expense in your budget is for the venue. Could you tell us who would be covering other costs, if any? Have you considered other expenses such as food, internet connectivity, or other equipment? We encourage you to consider updating this proposal to reflect other costs that might be involved.
- Since EUR 70 is not a large amount, have you approached WMIT to cover this or communicated the possibility of a fiscal sponsorship? I wanted to give you fair warning that it would take WMF no less than two weeks to process funds, and would not be transferred in time for this event.
- Would you list the usernames of the experienced Wikimedians who are helping out with the edit-a-thon?
Thanks for your responses! Morgan Jue (WMF) (talk) 23:02, 6 March 2017 (UTC)
- Dear Morgan Jue (WMF), thanks for your message! Yes, the only expense in our budget is for the venue. We have internet connectivity and we don't need food or other equipment. It's not a problem if it takes no less than two weeks to have funds. I am the Wikimedian who is helping out with the edit-a-thon (username: Luigi Catalani). - Thank you for clarifying that, Luigi Catalani! As with the other Art+Feminism events in Italy, we would like to see others experienced Wikimedians to be involved or in attendance to help you in Potenza. Once you are able to identify at least one or two volunteers, we would be able to approve this. I also see that this editathon is two hours long (but correct me if I'm wrong!); in the future, we would recommend a longer session so that any newcomers have enough time to learn editing basics and devote more time to diving into Wikipedia. Thank you! Morgan Jue (WMF) (talk) 21:20, 7 March 2017 (UTC)
- Dear Morgan Jue (WMF), I'm not employed by Wikimedia Italia, I'm a volunteer coordinator for Wikimedia Italia of wiki-projects in schools and universities. I am the only experienced Wikimedian involved in this editathon. Best, --Luigi Catalani (talk) 10:27, 9 March 2017 (UTC)
