Thank you for this interim report. We have the following comments/questions and look forward to you response:
- Office: Great to hear the office is providing a better space for meetings.
- 1st edit-a-thon: Congrats on your first edit-a-thon! Here are more resources on holding successful edit-a-thons: edit-a-thon program resources. We have found that edit-a-thon series and themed edit-a-thons attract the most participants. We're happy to brainstorm more ideas. Please let us know.
- Congrats on growing the community in Brno -- this is great progress!
- Can you provide more details on the Wikipedians in Seinhennersdorf event? Were the discussions and follow-up items documented elsewhere? Are there plans for more activity in that region?
- The Czech report is here, the Austrian is here. There is a plan to continue in meetings in that area, no definite time was determined to my knowledge. --Vojtěch Dostál (talk) 09:38, 7 July 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you. It looks like it was a successful photo event with an interesting group of participants. Do you have a link to the photos? Do you know if any photos of the houses are used on wiki projects yet? Alex Wang (WMF) (talk) 18:03, 7 July 2014 (UTC)
- Found the photos here. Very interesting! It looks like 19 of the 579 photos are being used on wiki projects so far. Alex Wang (WMF) (talk) 18:54, 14 July 2014 (UTC)

- What were the key learnings from the EduWiki Conference?
- The report can be found on the WM UK blog (English); it pretty much summarizes the whole event. Dominik says he cleared up a lot of things for himself, seeing how the Serbians organize their education program. Eg. letting the students work in a sort of sandboxish workplace, what should the leader be like, what are the target groups, why we do education programs etc.... --Vojtěch Dostál (talk) 10:17, 7 July 2014 (UTC)
- Are there any learnings from WMAT Monumento Salzburg?
- Reading the report on our blog, there was a number of learnings. The participants discussed why outreach efforts are possible in some countries while very difficult in others - even so close as Austria and Germany. The Czech representatives had time to discuss GLAM efforts with Czech institutions as well and several decisions were made. --Vojtěch Dostál (talk) 09:38, 7 July 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you. It sounds like the event helped strengthen WMCZ's relationship with NPU. Have you made progress in detailing the partnership since the event? Has WMCZ been cooperating with NPU in organizing WLM 2014? Alex Wang (WMF) (talk) 18:03, 7 July 2014 (UTC)

- What kind of work do the interns do? Where were they sourced from? Are they paid? This is helpful for other chapters considering an internship program.
- As mentioned in the report, the interns are a possibility rather then a present state of things. However, the office is already an important meeting point for our grant administrator who collects receipts. Moreover, we are having talks with a volunteer camera man who wants to shoot some documents, and also with applicants from the Rok jinak foundation - we'll see what use they will make of the office in future. Internship students are another interesting possibility that we are mulling over. --Vojtěch Dostál (talk) 16:19, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
- In terms of outreach and membership challenges, please let us know if we can support WMCZ with developing a communications strategy. We're happy to connect you with communication experts in the movement who could advise WMCZ on issues like press releases, media interviews, etc.
- thanks for that suggestion, would it be possible to get him/her to Prague in person some day? Otherwise we might stick to local experts. Just a few days ago, we had a great communication workshop with a local journalist / PR specialist in our office with whom we want to cooperate further! --Vojtěch Dostál (talk) 16:19, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
- Great to hear about the recent communications workshop! We will follow-up regarding a communications movement expert. Alex Wang (WMF) (talk) 18:03, 7 July 2014 (UTC)

Template question
[edit]Alex, where the template at the top says: "Please visit Grants:PEG/WM CZ/Communities to read the final report for this project, comment on this final report, or review its status", the link goes to the original proposal. It's a bit confusing. Tony (talk) 03:31, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks Tony. I fixed the template. Alex Wang (WMF) (talk) 16:34, 3 July 2014 (UTC)
