Thanks Alex! Im still working on this report. (I belived I marked it correctly as a draft.) I still have to get the numbers I generated here to jive with the Tec finance/accounting system. We just got back from vacation (I used the downtime on Monday to get this draft done), so I need a few days to sit down with the right people. Comments on final report

Hi Thelmadatter. Thank you for your work on this project! It's incredibly impressive to see the wide variety of projects that students had the option of taking part in and the outcomes that you had with them.

We have a few remaining questions/comments and look forward to hearing your response:

1. It would be great to hear the next steps for the programs and if you are planning on applying for either a Project Grant (which are accepted twice a year) or Rapid Grant (which are for projects under USD2000).
   
2. It is unfortunately difficult for us to create two separate grants for one project, however we are able to send you shirts/buttons/paper/misc. items that you may need if it would help.
   
3. Did a certain number of students participate in multiple projects? Do you have a sense of if any of the students have continued to participate on the Wikimedia projects?
4. It seems like the group leaders have a wide range of experience on the Wikimedia projects. For those that are newer and have experienced article quality issues, what kind of support can you or have you given them to address these issues?
   
5. We’ve reviewed the expense documentation and it looks we’re missing the receipt for “Filming/editing for mini-doc about Wiki activities during Semana i”. We will need this receipt before we can approve the report.

Responses

1. Planning for the next Semana i began in late January with the proposal deadline for the Mexico City campuses on 28 Feb. We have not yet received approval for any Semana i project, but we do not anticipate problems. There are 4 proposals officially on the table: one to put documents from the Cervantina Library in Commons/Wikisource, one on 19th century literature in Wikisource, a wiki expedition in the west of the city (Santa Fe campus, dont know the location yet) and another music recording project, this time with a cross US/Mexico border focus. I have been talking to Campus Chiapas about doing a wiki expedition there, but this one is a bit more complicated with the deadline at the end of the month. There is no way we can put together a Project Grant on those deadlines, with 3-5 project leaders who are autonomous. (My role is to help with with the Wiki aspect of their projects) How soon and how fast they start putting things together depends on the project. For example the music project is the most intense and requires the most time and energy. This is the main reason for thinking about multimple Rapid Grants. While I support the projects and we meet occasionally, they really are independent of each other

3. If you mean if students have come back to work on a Wikipedia project for the following Semana i, the answer a few, but the Tec highly discourages students from doing two similar projects in a row. Students do appear later in the community servico program (Wikiservicio) that I run and have helped out teachers when classes have done projects. But if the gist of the question is do students work on Wikipedia on their own after a Semana i project, I would say that is highly unlikely.
4. Well, the one that ran the literature project now believes me when I say that writing new articles is the most difficult thing anyone can do in Wikipedia and decided to try Wikisource instead. Antonia Lopez ... our only true "volunteer" as she is not a student or teacher... has made herself our Wikisource expert to work with the development of the Cervantina project and the literature project. Please be aware that I do not have any supervisory authority over teachers (a misunderstanding I have run a number of times into with some folks in eswiki).
5. I dont understand this one. I have a mail from SMalik confirming receipt of the receipt dated 7 March :D
