Learning
[edit]Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:
- What worked well?
- The partnership with the Department of Library and Information Science, Ignatius Ajuru University of Education enhanced the success of the project as the leadership of the department helped with organization of the project.
- The availability of refreshments for participants encouraged active participation during the event.
- What did not work so well?
- Poor network during the training
- IP block issues preventing the creation of Wikipedia accounts
- Poor digital literacy skills of few of the participants slowed the training process as the facilitator needed to carry all participants along.
- What would you do differently next time?
- Ensure participants create their Wikipedia Usernames before the training to avoid being stranded as a result of IP block
- Conduct a pre-assessment of the training venue to ascertain the best network to use during the training.
