1. What content will the contest focus on, and why is it important to your community?
Wiki Loves Earth will focus on collecting quality pictures on Rwanda's natural heritage/protected areas that to participate in the WLE 2021 contest in Rwanda.
2. How will you let people know about the contest?
- We will send emails about the contest to our already existing mailing list which includes everyone who participated in WLA 2020,WLE 2020,WLM 2020,WLA 2021 & WLF 2021, contests and we shall use social medias like WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook adverts and we shall use the our networks to spread the word.
3. How will you judge the contest and award prizes?
A local jury team of 3 judges who are professional photographers, will be selected to choose the best photos from Rwanda which will be forwarded to the international team of Wiki Loves Earth and we shall award the best 3 photos with prizes.
4. For photo contests, what is the strategy to get images used on projects?
This Wikipedia page will used as a reference and improvements will be made https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Protected_areas_of_Rwanda.
5. Are you running any in-person events or activities? If so, you will need to complete the steps outlined on the Risk Assessment protocol related to COVID-19. When you have completed these steps, please provide a link to your completed copy of the risk assessment tool below:
