El Leaderbot tiene la finalidad de recordar al usuario que su permiso temporal (por ejemplo: exención de bloqueo a IP) está próximo de caducar.
- El bot avisará al usuario cuando al permiso le reste una semana o menos de caducidad. Además, solo será avisado "una sola vez" en su página de discusión.
- The service will deliver the message to the user's talk page on the affected wiki. Depending on the user's settings, this can also imply a ping and email as well.

- Default configuration files are stored in /global (this also includes data for global rights).
- Local (i.e, for a certain wiki) configuration files are stored as a subpage by database name. For enwiki, this would be /enwiki and /frwiki for frwiki; the full list is here. Should an opt-in wiki not have a local configuration file, the global details will be used.
- The internal database is at /database and should normally not be modified.
