Participating groups

[edit]

The ESEAP Strategy Summit 2025 is jointly hosted and organized by multiple Wikimedia communities in the Philippines, alongside the support of independent Filipino Wikimedians. The core organizing team is composed of members from these communities. Following the selection of Manila as the host city for this summit, the following groups, signaled their intention in jointly managing the event:

Wiki Advocates Philippines User Group is a recognized Wikimedia user group and affiliate based in Camarines Sur. Founded in 2023, their programs include the development of local-language Wikimedia projects on the Wikimedia Incubator through their Hatch-A-Wiki, SheSaid, and Art and Feminism projects. Wiki Advocates Philippines serves as the legal entity for hosting the summit.
Shared Knowledge Asia Pacific is a group of community volunteers based in Pangasinan. They have led multiple Wiki Loves Local Heritage events throughout provinces in Northern Luzon, and currently spearhead the digitization of local laws and ordinances in Pangasinan and La Union. Shared Knowledge Asia Pacific is the fiscal sponsor, handling financial matters and managing the logistics for the summit.
Pilipinas Panorama Community is a thematic organization based in Metro Manila. They lead the advocacy for the passage of freedom of panorama in the Philippines, organize cultural heritage walks and meetups, and also participate in outreach to GLAM organizations. Along with the other groups and individuals, Pilipinas Panorama Community forms the ground team handling event facilities and venues.
Wiki Society of the Philippines, formerly known as Wikimedia Philippines, is a group of volunteers also based in Metro Manila. Advocating for the use of Wikimedia projects in the Philippines, they have previously organized projects aimed at combating misinformation and disinformation on Wikimedia sites. Wiki Society of the Philippines helps in handling communication between the core organizing team and Foundation staff, attendees, and venues.
