Session Format

Every speaker has 15 min presentation, followed by 5 min Q&A.

Description

Sharing session on ongoing or previous collaborations with local governments or other institutions that share the same values as the movement. There will be three sharing talks as followed:

1. The collaborations done by the Sinirangan Bisaya Wikimedia Community during 2014 to 2017 with the local government units, private organizations and educational institutions in the Eastern Visayas, Philippines, to improve contents of Wikimedia projects especially Waray Wikipedia and related projects discussing the mechanisms used, problems encountered, lessons learned and future plans.
2. Collaboration between Wikimedians of Korea User Group with Ministry of the Interior and Safety of South Korea (MOIS) and Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Government to share public information on Wikimedia projects. The MOIS introduced Seosan City Goverment and donated 100 pictures to Wikimedia Commons together with with the help from Korea User Group, updated articles on Korea Wikipedia.
3. WMF role in Strategic Partnership, especially for ESEAP (East Asia, South East Asia, and Pacific Region), what have been done and the upcoming plan for increasing partnership in our region.

Desired Outcome

Inspiration & more participants look for partnerships outside with government and other institution.
