Deoband Community Wikimedia/Roles
As of July 2024, there are three paid roles at the Deoband Community Wikimedia: the Global/Program Lead, Lead for Advancement and Communications and the Conversation Hour Lead. This pages lists and discusses the profiles of people that work/volunteer at the DCW.

2 | The Chief Communications Officer oversees strategic expansion and improvement, ensures consistent alignment with the DCW's messaging, and spearheads initiatives to advance mission and goals. This role involves curating and managing social media posts, utilizing strategies for increased reach and engagement, and implementing communication strategies for organizational growth. Additionally, the lead plays a an important role in shaping and communicating the DCW's narrative, contributing significantly to its overall success. | Role dissolved as of 7 April 2025 | |
3 | Heritage Lens Fellow | Heritage Fellows receieve a limited fellowship from the DCW for making significant contributions through the Heritage Lens | Fellowship |
4 | DCW Conversation Hour Lead | The DCW Conversation Hour lead plans, communicates and moderates the DCW Conversation Hour, and deciding speakers and issues for the conversation. The role also assures that the recordings of the conversation hour are timely made available on our YouTube channel for sharing with the wider community. This task was previously taken care of by Program Lead until December 2023, and was given a separate role following the 12th Conversation Hour, for the affiliate's optimal development. | Role dissolved as of 7 April 2025. 5 | DCW Conversation Hour - Hosts | Hosting and moderating the conversation hour | Volunteer |

Heritage Lens fellows
[edit]- ThePoeticFrame was selected as the first fellow for Heritage Lens/Iteration 2 in December 2023.
- Khushbu was selected for Heritage Lens/Iteration 3 in March 2024.
- Luma2rk was selected for Heritage Lens/Iteration 4 in August 2024.
- Laraib17 was selected for Heritage Lens/Iteration 5 in March 2025.
