Problem: videos currently do not autoplay or loop
Who would benefit: would allow better quality animatics than GIF animations
Proposed solution: add autoplay and loop methods to our visual file markup

- Autoplaying audio is definitely awful, but I can see valid use cases for silent videos to autoplay and loop; i.e. animated diagrams. Perhaps the autoplay feature could force the video to be muted until the user unmutes it. As for the data caps, we could disable autoplay on the mobile site; I imagine this feature primarily being useful for relatively simple short animations that likely wouldn't use much data anyway. --IagoQnsi (talk) 18:49, 8 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
