Unwanted notice for a file
[edit]Template:PD-US-defective notice/en (diff ~523973441)
It seems that this edit caused me to get a page link notice for c:File:Adventures of Pow Wow - Opening Card (1957) (black-and-white version).jpg, an image I have nothing to do with. It previously linked File:Copyright Office Circular 3 Copyright Notice.pdf (page history) so previously it was probably Den man tau who got notified for every use of Template:PD-US-defective notice. Please do something to ensure PD-US-defective notice doesn't directly link a file I uploaded. See c:User:Alexis Jazz T46787 for details on the matter. I can upload File:Copyright_Office_Circular_3_Copyright_Notice.pdf to enwiki with that alternative account and someone can import it to Commons, or you reupload it yourself, or create a redirect to link, or go back to using Den man tau's redirect. Either way I don't want page link notices for uses of Template:PD-US-defective notice. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 04:13, 1 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Alexis Jazz: Oof, that's annoying. It seems like the quick and dirty solution is just to revert my edit, so that's what I've done. –IagoQnsi (talk) 04:16, 1 March 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for the fast response, and also sorry: I just read c:User:Alexis Jazz T46787 and the associated Phab task which mentioned these noticed can now be muted on a per-page basis. And indeed, that's now possible and I found the option to mute notices for File:Copyright_Office_Circular_3_Copyright_Notice.pdf. So you can un-revert your edit if you wish. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 04:19, 1 March 2022 (UTC)
