Gestion uniforme des opérations de masse dans les pages spéciales de suppression, restauration et déplacement

À l'heure actuelle, il n'existe pas de moyen standard de supprimer, restaurer ou déplacer en bloc une série de pages ou de sous-pages.

Sur des projets comme Wikisource, par exemple, il arrive fréquemment que les administrateurs doivent supprimer des dizaines voire des centaines de pages et/ou de sous-pages lorsqu'une violation du droit d'auteur est confirmée et inversement, doivent restaurer une série de pages lorsqu'une nouvelle information vient infirmer les éléments ayant précédemment motivé une suppression. Dans d'autres cas, la modification d'un fichier source utilisé pour transcrire et transclure une série de pages devient problématique car la correspondance du contenu existant avec la pagination du fichier source est brisée. Sans lister exhaustivement les cas où il y a besoin de telles actions de masse, on peut dire qu'il y a besoin d'un tel outil et que cet outil devrait être simple à utiliser pour tous ceux qui y sont autorisés.

Si tous ceux qui avaient l'autorisation de supprimer des pages ou de les déplacer sans créer de redirection pouvaient aussi effectuer ces opérations, tous ceux qui contribuent à Wikisource en bénéficieraient à coup sûr. Wikilivres et Wikiversité pourraient aussi trouver utile d'avoir ces fonctionnalités standardisées.

Actuellement, la page Special:Nuke est limitée aux créations récentes ou au création d'un seul utilisateur actif. Elle n'est d'aucune aide en ce qui concerne les pages non modifiées depuis des mois ou des années, ou celles qui ont plus d'un auteur. Quand un cas nécessitant une action de masse se présente, on documente la requête du mieux qu'on peut et on attend qu'elle attire l'attention d'une des rares personnes capables de s'en charger au moyen de scripts, python, tool-labs, wmfLabs et qui passent de temps en temps. Il est injuste que ce soit toujours ces quelques personnes qui doivent se charger de ces tâches et ce n'est pas efficace : les contributeurs doivent patienter pour que 100 renommages soient faits un par un alors qu'une plutôt que d'exécuter les 100 renommages d'un coup.

  • La meilleure solution serait de concevoir une page spéciale pour les suppressions de masse (ou les restaurations) et une autre page spéciale pour les renommages de masse prenant une plage et un décalage, et de les intégrer à MediaWiki.
  • Sinon, la seconde solution possible serait d'avoir un moyen de faire cela avec des gadgets ou des scripts locaux sans qu'aucune partie du processus ne dépende d'outils « externes » comme les labs ou les tools.

    Les deux semblent raisonnables, vu ce je comprends de Twinkle (voir w:MediaWiki:Gadget-twinklebatchdelete.js, w:MediaWiki:Gadget-twinklebatchundelete.js et w:MediaWiki:Gadget-twinklebatchprotect.js entre autres, parmi ses composants).

  • En dernier recours, le minimum serait de rendre à nouveau fonctionnel l'ancien gadget pour les suppressions (voir s:MediaWiki:Gadget-massdelete.js).

  11. Support Support Yes please. I use AutoWikiBrouwser for batch deletions and moves, but I do not know a way of fast undeletion of files. I was once undeleting 300 pages from an encyclopedia deleted by mistake by other admin who agreed to a "mistake" refused to undelete them.
