Normalizar las páginas especiales para los borrados, restauraciones y traslados en lote

Actualmente, no hay una forma «fija» masiva de borrar, restaurar o mover un rango de páginas o subpáginas.

Frecuentemente los administradores en proyectos como Wikisource, por ejemplo, deben afrontar la tarea de borrar docenas, si no es que cientos, de páginas o subpáginas. Esto se debe en parte a nuevas verificaciones de derechos de autor. También se da el caso inverso en el que deben restaurar un rango de páinas cuando información nueva invalida las afirmaciones usadas para justificar un borrado anterior. En otros momentos, un cambio en el archivo fuente usado anteriormente para transcribir y transcluir una serie de páginas se vuelve problemático porque el contenido existente ya no se alinea con la paginación del archivo fuente modificado. Para no zumbar listando todos los escenarios posibles que requieren tales funciones masivas (o en «lote»), baste decir que existe la necesidad por este tipo de herramienta y que esta herramienta debería estar disponible para todos los que posean los accesos apropiados.

Si todas las personas autorizadas para borrar o mover páginas sin dejar una redirección pueden realizar estas funciones fácilmente, entonces todos los que colaboran con los proyectos correspondientes de Wikisource definitivamente se beneficiarán. Wikilibros y la Wikiversidad también podrían encontrar que estas funciones serían útiles.

Actualmente Special:Nuke está limitada a las páginas creadas recientemente o a las páginas creadas por un único usuario activo. Esto no ayuda cuando es necesario modificar proyectos que han permanecido estáticos por meses o años y que han recibido colaboraciones de múltiples editores. Cuando surge una situación que requiere una de estas acciones masivas, la solicitud se documenta lo mejor que se puede y se espera a que alguna de las pocas personas capaces de ejecutarlas usando secuencias de comandos, Python, tool-labs, wmfLabs o herramientas parecidas pueda darle su atención. No es justo cargar consistentemente estas tareas al mismo conjunto reducido de individuos y tampoco es eficiente que los colaboradores deban esperar hasta que se puedan trasladar 100 páginas individualmente en vez de moverlas simultáneamente con un solo proceso.

  • La solución optima sería diseñar un página especial fácil de usar para borrar páginas de forma masiva (y restaurarlas) y otra página especial para realizar traslados masivos que pueda trabajar con rangos o valores iniciales como parte de la instalación estándar de la aplicación central de MediaWiki.
  • La siguiente mejor opción sería tener una forma de lograr lo mismo usando secuencias de comandos o accesorios localmente y preferiblemente sin requerir recursos «externos» como «labs» o «tools» para ejecutar el proceso.

Ambas opciones parecen plausibles juzgando por lo que puedo ver en el accesorio Twinkle (ver w:MediaWiki:Gadget-twinklebatchdelete.js, w:MediaWiki:Gadget-twinklebatchundelete.js y w:MediaWiki:Gadget-twinklebatchprotect.js entre sus componentes)

  11. Support Support Yes please. I use AutoWikiBrouwser for batch deletions and moves, but I do not know a way of fast undeletion of files. I was once undeleting 300 pages from an encyclopedia deleted by mistake by other admin who agreed to a "mistake" refused to undelete them.
