Community Wishlist/Wishes/More page metadata
Description
I would propose to move some information, that is currently otherwise organized, to a page's metadata to have a more centralized place for this where it can be edited separately through a form instead of in the wikitext, so the article focuses more on the actual content:
- Aliases (list, creates redirects, reversed approach)
- Topheads (so they can all be rendered consistently)
- Categories and interlanguage links (list, can be done via VisualEditor)
- Display title, sort key (can be done via VisualEditor)
One of the main things is, as a programmer myself, I don't particularly like
- mixing content and metadata
- having metadata in a free-form textfield
The visual editor already gives the visual impression of this via "options":
I imagine this to be similar to the "basic information":
Especially topheads are currently implemented via templates that all look different, can theoretically be inserted everywhere and are technically not content but editorial commentary. So, here again, we mix content and other stuff.
