[edit]- @Natalia Szelachowska (WMCZ): I've created campaign and banner for you. Please check that and the preview. As soon as you approve, I will enable the campaign. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 16:45, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
- Hello, thank you for the meassage and for preparing a campaign for us! If it's ok, we'd rather keep our banner we uploaded as a part of the request as we had it discussed with our PR specialist. What would be great is to add there a grey background and frame (sorry for my basic editing skills), would it be possible @DerHexer? Best, Natalia Szelachowska (WMCZ) (talk) 19:25, 21 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Natalia Szelachowska (WMCZ): Unfortunately, we cannot process a banner design created in Wikimarkup. CentralNotice banners are created in pure HTML and CSS (and JavaScript). Therefore, I had to recreate it, using our standard banner which allows a responsive display also on mobile pages and small displays. Your design wouldn't work on mobile (see screenshot). Without mobile display, you'd lose more than 50 % of traffic which I cannot recommend. So either please provide a responsive banner design in HTML/CSS or lets proceed with my banner creation (certainly, some adjustments could be made). Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 23:44, 21 February 2023 (UTC)
- I understand however, I'm positive that the banners, which was created by us earlier, were accepted. In that case, can I ask you to adjust the banner you've created by using violet and bold letters? Thank you for your support! Natalia Szelachowska (WMCZ) (talk) 19:31, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
- @DerHexer I'm writing because I haven't heard back from you and our campaign should start tomorrow. Can we proceed with the procedure? I'm adding here also @Martin Urbanec in case he could help setting up a banner. Looking forward to hearing from you, Natalia Szelachowska (WMCZ) (talk) 20:39, 28 February 2023 (UTC)
- Campaign enabled. Martin Urbanec (talk) 21:22, 28 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Natalia Szelachowska (WMCZ): I didn't see your message because you didn't ping me and there are some more campaigns around. ;) By enabling the campaign, Martin reduced the traffic without giving a reason. I've reverted this as there has already been a diet based on cookies. Furthermore, I've added the bold font weight and the purple text color. The campaign should be now as requested. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 21:42, 28 February 2023 (UTC)
- @DerHexer thank you for your support! Natalia Szelachowska (WMCZ) (talk) 10:20, 1 March 2023 (UTC)
- Hi @DerHexer, I did that change as I tried to follow the guidelines, which suggest keeping traffic at 50% or below, as well as using the cookies-based diet. Admittedly, I set the value to 65% (which is slightly higher than 50%), as this is a fairly major campaign, but this is the motivation for diets. That said, if you think that setting the cookie-based diet is enough, I don’t object to that at all. Best, Martin Urbanec (talk) 11:10, 1 March 2023 (UTC)
- Lowering the percentage doesn't make sense for many campaigns. I've put CN on the agenda for today. Let's talk about it there? :) I'd be bold and remove that part of the guidelines as this does not reflect common practice. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 11:59, 1 March 2023 (UTC)
