What countries will your campaign target?
Banner/Campaign Diet:
|
What is the purpose of the campaign? How will you measure the success of the campaign?
[edit]Description - Promoting awareness of the call for submission proposals to Wikimania 2021. This is considered a "standard banner" as per CentralNotice/Usage_guidelines#Approval.
Metrics - Number of submissions received (we can measure these ourself). Would be great to get clicks from different languages and/or countries at some point, but that's mostly for evaluation.

What banner(s) will you use? What will be your landing page?
[edit]Banners - A Call for submission proposals equivalent of the call for 2018 Scholarships banner but for 2021 Wikimania and with this logo.
As banner text we would like to use "The 2021 Wikimania Conference is now open for program submissions. -- See the main page for more information." (we may update for the final days).
Is this project grant funded? Please provide a link

Discussion
[edit]- @Natalia Szelachowska (WMCZ): THere would be a few day overlap with your proposed campaign, but I hope that is not a problem. I think they can run concurrently. Effeietsanders (talk) 18:10, 5 June 2021 (UTC)
- @이강철 (WMKR): There would be overlap with your campaign in Korean Wikipedia. I think they can run concurrently, especially given that our focus is the days after. Effeietsanders (talk) 18:39, 5 June 2021 (UTC)
- @JBrungs (WMF): Courtesy ping. I don't believe there would be overlap, but please let me know if I'm wrong. Effeietsanders (talk) 18:39, 5 June 2021 (UTC)
- This is running in June if I read the calendar right. So that is all good. The Japan campaign is the next banner fundraising which will take place in July. Thanks for the ping! JBrungs (WMF) (talk) 05:30, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
- @T Cells: It looks like there will be overlap (not sure in how many countries) with Wikipedia Pages Wanting Photos (WPWP, July 1 ― Aug. 31). Do you foresee problems with running concurrently? Effeietsanders (talk) 18:39, 5 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Romaine: It looks like there will be overlap with Wiki Loves Earth. Not sure in how many countries. Given that we're not close to your final sprint at the end of the month, and that you're more focused on anonymous and we're more on logged-in, do you foresee problems?
