What is the purpose of the campaign? How will you measure the success of the campaign?

Description - Call for participation to Wiki Loves Africa 2023.

The banner is to promote the Wiki Loves Africa photo campaign. It is a call for participation. It is pretty much unchanged compared to previous years. The contest is open for 2 months (by popular support). We run the banner only in Africa (though the contest is open everywhere). Every year, 90% or so of our participants are new (and some are retained there after !), so running the banner for IP addresses is very important as it serves as recruitment system for new participants. The contest runs over all African countries. In some countries (around 25), local teams will organize activities. They are very much in ask for the banners (both because it helps promote the contest in countries where wikipedia is not very well known) and because it makes them feel we take them seriously (and we do of course...). We changed the timeline just a tiny bit : 1 March 2023 → 30th April 2023

We'd like to have the banner similar to previous years: 2022, 2021, 2020, etc. with a scrolling banner + logo + linked text.

@Anthere and Islahaddow: I've created the campaign (with Western Sahara) and banner (preview). Sadly, my CSS skills are not goop enough to flip the positions of text and logo. I tried but always messed up the mobile display. Either you find somebody to change it or we must go with this version.
