[edit]- I will take care of this. —DerHexer (Talk) 06:36, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Leserättin: I've created campaign and banner. I've slightly adjusted the banner text by making some parts of it bold (I've also removed the location which I wouldn't advertize in a banner). However, two more remarks: The text doesn't encourage me to click for more information. Is that intended? The background of the SVG is not transparent so that I had to change the background color of the whole banner from light grey to white to fit to this. If you add a transparent layer to the logo, I can undo that (which will make the banner more visible, in my opinion). You can have a look at the current preview here. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 18:03, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
- @DerHexer: Thank you. I asked a colleague whether he can fix the background of the logo. I don't know how to do this. I have to wait whether he reacts.
- Perhaps one could add the sentence "Mehr Infos and Anmeldung auf unserer Seite." Or how is this solved in other banners? I did not find any other banner examples which provides inspiration in this respect.
- Is it possible to add a
before "Wir freuen uns über erfahrene Wikipedianer:innen ..."? BG, Leserättin (talk) 18:36, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Leserättin: I wouldn't go with more than 3 parts, to be honest. Therefore, I've added the line but didn't add the
. What do you think about the current preview (same link)? Please also check for smaller or wider screens (Ctrl and + resp. Ctrl and -). Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 18:43, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
- @DerHexer It is a lot of text now. But I think we can leave this. However, whenever I call the test page the logo is first shown very small and only after a while in full size. Do you see it like this, too? Is this only on the test page? BG, Leserättin (talk) 19:05, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Leserättin: No, this should not happen. But I don't have these problems either. Can you let others have a look at it, other browsers, etc.? Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 19:15, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
- Same happened with me for the preview in FF, there seems to be more lag than normal loading the image: it first only shows the female symbol in the right bottom corner, and after ~2 seconds the full image follows (which is strange, because it is one svg file?). Chrome and Edge are good. Ciell (talk) 07:15, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Leserättin: Could you please upload another, smaller version of the SVG? Let's try again then. —DerHexer (Talk) 07:25, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
- @DerHexer: Small in what sense? File size? What is the limit? Best, Leserättin (talk) 08:27, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
- Mussklprozz has produced a new version with a transparent background and better alignment of the elements. However, that has 42 kB. Before he uploads it please let us know what is required. Best, Leserättin (talk) 08:35, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
- That's going to be trial and error. I'd say 10 kB would be good. Transparent background and better alignment of the elements sounds good to me! :) —DerHexer (Talk) 08:47, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
- @DerHexer Why is it important that the file size is only 10 kB? Corresponding with @Leserättin, I have now redesigned the logo, harmonizing the font and the ♀-sign and leaving the background transparent. Frankly speaking, I am not in the mood to spend a lot of time just to save a few kBytes. Cheers, Mussklprozz (talk) 09:16, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
- I don't know why there has been that problem. Of course, we can try with the new version. :) —DerHexer (Talk) 09:25, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
- Now you could even make the banner background with Grey or other nice color. Best, Leserättin (talk) 11:20, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
- Good morning @DerHexer, is the campaign active? I just called the page Stuttgart but no banner was shown. Best, Leserättin (talk) 06:09, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Leserättin: I thought that I shouldn't start it with that error you've experienced but should wait for the new logo. I can start it anytime you want, I just need a GO. —DerHexer (Talk) 06:33, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
- @DerHexer: Go, please :-). Best, Leserättin (talk) 07:17, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
- It's enabled now but might take a minute or two (or 15) until it is shown. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 07:19, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
