Hi,

I am not sure if you are running this for both logged in and logged out users but just to let you know, that there will be fundraising banners in Brazil until the 15th of April for logged out users. This would mean that logged out users will only see your banner after they have seen their max impression of fundraising banners. Since this is the second half of the fundraising campaign, many users might already be at the max impression for fundraising banners and hopefully will see mainly your banners. Hi @User:Lilian Viana, I created the banner for you from the source code in your link, so you can start testing if it looks okay across all devices. This is the preview you can use for that. Please let me know in case there are any updates needed. Ciell (talk) 10:09, 16 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I have slightly reduced the logo size. It got pretty big, especially on a mobile screen. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 21:20, 17 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you @DerHexer and @Ciell. It's perfect. Best Lilian Viana (talk) 13:52, 19 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Perfect, thanks User:Lilian Viana and DerHexer.
  • I have now also created the campaign with the technical settings for the banner; please review.
  • I have added both pt and pt-br language to be targeted, but am aware there are differences between these languages. Would you like to only target pt as requested, or also pt-br?
  • I notice from the landing page, you'll have a kick-off event on March 31st. Would you like the banner to start the day before April 1, so people might join you for that event?
  • After reviewing the landing page and the information given there, I think the campaign is best suited for logged in users only. When designing a landing page to activate non-registered visitors, often passive readers, the landing page should contain a very simple and actionable outline for the newcomers. Here that is not the case. I therefore propose the banner will only be shown to registered users (fyi @JBrungs).
Please let me know if the campaign is good to go, and when you have questions or things should be changed. Ciell (talk) 10:09, 24 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Lilian Viana: As of now, the campaign targets all Portuguese speakers around the world on Portuguese Wikipedia, not only the ones living in Portuguese-speaking countries. Is there a specific reason why you intend to focus on these countries only? PS: The campaign still waits for your approval. :) Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 14:48, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @DerHexer! Correct, the campaign focuses on Portuguese language speakers regardless of their country of origin. I approve the banner being presented. Do I need to make the approval in a specific location, or is it sufficient to inform you here? I apologize for my delay and the confusion; this process is new to me. Thank you a lot for all the patience Lilian Viana (talk) 13:32, 4 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @JBrungs (WMF), Sorry for my delay. Please, include pt and pt-br .
If it's possibile we would like that non-registered visitors could see the banner. We are planning in-person activities in libraries, and the banner can help bring newcomers to these events and make librarians aware of and engaged in the campaign. If it's not possible, I understand. Again, I'm sorry about my delay. Thank you! Lilian Viana (talk) 13:28, 4 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Lilian Viana,
The campaign is currently running and will run for another week (finish next week Tuesday). Non-logged in users will see 10 impressions of a fundraising banner first and then will see your banner. As the campaign has now been running since mid-March, many people might have already had their 10 impressions and hopefully get shown your banner instead. Have a great campaign. Best, JBrungs (WMF) (talk) 04:30, 7 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Lilian Viana: I have enabled the campaign at a diet of 50 % and a low priority, but for non-registered users as well. Please let us know about the feedback and registrations you receive so that we can adjust the diet in one or the other way. —DerHexer (Talk) 20:54, 11 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
