Central Notice admin comments

  • @Xeno (WMF) and Keegan (WMF): I'm a bit confused by this request. Do you want us volunteer CN admins to create this for you? According to the CN guidelines, WMF and affiliate should be created by their staff and the volunteer CNA's just check that and enable the campaign. — However, the proposed settings are not so difficult so that I could help with the creation if need be. However, some remarks:
    • Please note that Catalan communities have opted out from campaigns a) that are not translated into the local language, b) that are not announced on their local wiki.
    • The proposed landing page looks very unclear to me. Are you sure that this is the right one? I cannot easily identify a call-to-action. I don't really know what you want me to do and why. At first, I thought that you were requesting a campaign for voting on the new changes (see “Metrics: voter turnout”).
    • If the latter is true, a better targeting could make sense (minimum number of edits, etc.). But also for a call for feedback a minimum level of knowledge about our communities might make sense instead of inviting every newly registered account to give feedback on such a complex change.
  • Please get some more information handy, the campaign is scheduled to start in a week! (And I will be travelling most of the time, just saying.) Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 22:01, 11 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
