Hello, and thank you for taking a few minutes to fill out this survey! As we are preparing the Celtic Knot Conference 2022, your input will be very helpful for us to understand what you and your community expect from this event, what are the topics you would like to see at the conference, and how we can help your project grow and develop.

The Celtic Knot Conference 2022 is an event focusing on underrepresented languages in the Wikimedia projects, and aims at gathering people who are involved in these projects to exchange knowledge and skills. Organized by Wikimedia UK and Wikimedia Deutschland, the conference will take place online in July/August 2022. The main format of this year’s program will be workshops and other interactive sessions where people can learn and practice new skills. If the situation allows it, local groups will be able to organize small, local on-site events to socialize during or after the conference.

This survey will take approximately 10 minutes to fill in. It is anonymous, and the results will be compiled and used by the organizer team to prepare the event and in the grant application for WMF conference fund.

If you have any questions, or if you have ideas of workshops or sessions that you would like to run or help organize, feel free to contact us: info@wikimedia.org.uk

What are the Wikimedia projects you are actively involved in? (for example: Wikidata, Catalan Wikipedia, Bengali Wikisource…)

The Celtic Knot 2022 will focus on practical workshops. What topics would be the most useful to your community?

  • Useful templates to have on a wiki
  • Create Wikidata-powered infoboxes
  • Wikidata introduction: how to edit and reuse data
  • How to create articles based on Wikidata items
  • Community management: how to onboard contributors, ideas for recruitment
  • Others: please fill in the next question

What other topics, that were not already mentioned above, would you like to see covered at the conference? What kind of workshop would be the most useful to you and your community?

Apart from the workshops, what kind of sessions would be interesting to you and your community during the Celtic Knot Conference? (please note that the event will take place online, possibly with some local on-site gatherings - feel free to add ideas for both online and on-site events)

What would you like to learn during the conference?

Is there anything else that you would like the conference organizers to know? Do you have other ideas, wishes or expectations for the event?
