The Afroyanga Bootcamp is a annual capacity-building program developed by African & Proud (AP) aims at increasing the representation and engagement of African voices, languages, and content within the Wikimedia movement. Through intensive, targeted training, this bootcamp prepares participants to become skilled, sustainable contributors who can contribute high-quality, culturally relevant content and foster a supportive community aligned with Wikimedia’s mission of freely accessible knowledge for all.

The Afroyanga 1.0 Bootcamp, developed by African & Proud (AP), is a physical capacity-building conference held in Nigeria, with participants from various states across the country. This bootcamp is dedicated to empowering individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute effectively to Wikimedia Foundation projects while also focusing on personal development and networking opportunities.
