Zheen Center is a NGO for preserving Kurdish documents and journalistic archive. It was established in 2004 in Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Through a complaint project, the Zheen Center and the Kurdish Wikimedians User Group are coordinating to upload some of the center's archives to the Wikimedia Commons project.

May 23, 2021 Aras Nuri and Mohammad Sardar discussed a project to share the works and archives of Zheen Center with Wikipedia.
October 14, 2022 The Kurdish Wikimedia Users Association has officially requested Zheen Center to coordinate and create a Glam project. They were later accepted by Zheen Center.
November 27, 2022 In order to get the project up and running, the Kurdish Wikimedia Users Association began applying for financial support from Wikimedia.
April 17, 2023 The Kurdish Wikimedia Users Association received the necessary amount of financial assistance from the Wikimedia Organization.
May 13, 2023 Mohammad Sardar, on behalf of the Kurdish Wikimedia Users Association, visited Zheen Center and discussed the project in a two-hour meeting. The Kurdish Wikimedia Users Association has expressed its willingness to hire someone at the Zheen Center and teach a group of members how to use Wikipedia and upload images and archives to Wikimedia Commons.[1]
