Step 1. Find an article to improve

Assign yourself an article on the dashboard so others can know what you are currently editing or creating.

Step 2. Add the information
  1. Click 'Expand' above to find suggested sources or Find other suitable references online or in a book and click on the article 'edit'.
  2. Click 'Edit' at the top of the article, if you see code click to switch to the Visual Editor.
  3. Write the information you want to add to Wikipedia in your own words (don't just copy someone else's work).
  4. Add the reference to the end of the sentence.
  5. Click 'Publish changes' and say what you did in the summary and include #AfLibWk and #1Lib1Ref.

All pages on Wikipedia should be linked together:

  1. Find a page you want to add internal links to.
  2. Find words on the page that could link to other articles.
  3. Click 'Edit' at the top of the article, if you see code click to switch to the Visual Editor.
  4. Add links to the other articles, you don't have to link every mention of a word, only the first one.
  5. Click 'Publish changes' and say what you did in the summary and include #AfLibWk and #1Lib1Ref.
Add images

You can help improve the quality of an article by adding images to it.

  1. Find an article you want to add an image to.
  2. Check if the same article has an image on any other language versions.
  3. Click 'Edit' at the top of the article (if you see code click to switch to the Visual Editor).
  4. Add an image
  5. Click 'Publish changes' and say what you did in the summary and include #AfLibWk and #1Lib1Ref.
