This event is an outreach campaign, that aims to promote Wikimedia projects (emphasis on Hausa projects) to people (preferably students) in Kaduna metropolis of Kaduna state Nigeria, in order to encourage them to contribute to Wikimedia projects and to increase awareness of Wikipedia among the locals to know about their language projects.

Goal

Promote wikimedia projects (emphasis on Hausa projects) to people in Kaduna.

Objectives

  • Raise public awareness about Wikipedia in order to encourage people contribute to the project
  • Recruits new contributors/users
  • Add and improve content
  • Train existing editors
  • Meet people face to face as this will help us know what objections they have and to find ways for improvements and to persuade them to join

  • Time: 9am to 3pm
  • Venue: Kaduna in Kaduna state, Nigeria

Have PGD in Conflict Resolution and Peace Building (CRPB) From Nigerian Defence Academy, (NDA).

Currently Doing my Masters program In Conflict Resolution And Peace Building (CRPB), at Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA).
