15 January 2021 marks the 20th anniversary of Wikipedia. This is going to be the 20th year of the awesome collaborative work to improve free knowledge on the Internet. Communities, affiliates, and individuals are celebrating the occasion in different ways. A2K would like to conduct a mini-edit-a-thon on 9 and 10 January 2021, as a part of the Wikipedia 20th anniversary celebration.

This is a third edit-a-thon under the series of mini edit-a-thons. It was also a 2-day-long edit-a-thon and during these two days, 12 Indic language users contributed. These 12 languages are Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Santali, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu and (English also). Total 55 users added their names as participants but only 40 editors participated or created content.

Wikipedia was the focused project for this time. The list of articles was given to the participants. 40 participants created around 105. The Assamese community created a total of 23 articles and those articles were created by 10 editors. User:অজয় দাস from Assamese, created 6 articles and User: Kuldhar Rabha created 3 articles. From Bengali, User: Nettime Sujata created 3 articles out of 4 articles. User: Gazal world created one article, Encyclopaedia of Indian Literature, on English Wikipedia and it was a research article. Gujarati Wikimedian User: Vijay Barot created 9 articles and he was the only editor who participated from Gujarati. From Hindi community 2 users participated and Ts12rAc created 2 articles. From the Marathi language User:आर्या जोशी created 4 articles. From Odia User:Ssgapu22 and User:Hellohappy created 3 articles. Punjabi community created 24 articles and these articles were created by 9 editors. 10 articles created by User: Simranjeet Sidhu and 3 articles created by User: Mulkh Singh. Two editors from the Santali community created 2 articles. 23 articles created by 5 users, on Tamil Wikipedia. Tamil User:கி.மூர்த்தி created around 7 articles and User: Sridhar G created a total of 5 articles out of 23. User: Pranayraj1985 created 6 articles, on Telugu Wikipedia. 2 editors of Urdu Wikipedia created 3 articles.
