Wikimujeres/Reports/2019-20
We cannot begin this report without referring to the COVID-19 pandemic and how it has affected our work and all the groups that make up the Wikimedian community. The pandemic and the lockdown for almost a year has been a time in which precariousness has had a woman's face. We do not want to fail to mention it since women have suffered an emotional and physical overload that has affected our daily lives. We have had less free time to participate in and organize events and devote time to editing.. This report collects the activities from November 2019 to December 2020.
Wikimujeres has completed five years, and its founding objectives remain in force: to work the gender gap thematically either in the deficit of biographies of women or in the contents, since to value the work of women the first thing is to make it visible. Wikimujeres also has the challenge of training and encouraging women to collaborate to create collective knowledge. Thus during 2019/2020, we have continued to focus our work on the visibility of women in the different Wikimedia projects and to advance the diversity and neutrality of Wikipedia. We explain the policies that frame the content that is created and published, and we insist on the use of reliable sources, neutral point of view, copyright, etc.
Within the implementation process of the 2030 Strategy, we have participated in selecting the Recommendations, and subsequently, in the Global Conversations to discuss which ones should be prioritized for 2021. From here, we want to thank you for being able to participate in these conversations in Spanish. See the map of communities and affiliates that have participated in prioritising the movement's strategy.
The following text is the annual report and the highlights of the work in the last year. You can find the report of last year, 2018/2019, here and in detail, the day to day activity here, where you will see that the activities were cancelled from March 14, when it is decreed that a state of pandemia is entered worldwide, lockdown is imposed and all activities are suppressed

Education
[edit]The Wikimujeres workspace has been maintained in Barcelona at the Pompeu Fabra University, where it has been confirmed once again that having a permanent place for off-line editing where to start editing, clear doubts or encourage to start projects, for example, is a good way for participants to perceive their belonging to the community, something that facilitates a deeper and longer-term commitment to the projects. When the university was closed on March 14 due to the lockdown, the sessions were cancelled.
We were able to do one session of the three scheduled, in the education project with the Gaudí Institute in Reus in the Higher Level Training Cycle of Promotion and Gender Equality and we were able to do the three sessions in the education project with the Autonomous University of Barcelona
Graduate Diploma in Gender and Equality and Graduate Diploma in Gender-Based Violence.

Projects
[edit]We continue working on the projects Las imprescindibles , Los derechos de las mujeres también son Derechos Humanos and we participate in the launching of a new initiative in Wikiproyecto:Mujeres en Portada that seeks to reach 365 days with Women on the Front Page of the Spanish Wikipedia. It is a collaborative effort that seeks to improve the articles related to women's anniversaries and events related to them.
