Wikimedians of Romania and Moldova User Group/2019

This page contains the activities and events organized or attended by the User Group in 2019. It was a hard year for the group, with several members being prevented from participation at various times due to offline issues, but we have been able to mostly maintain our existing projects and organize a few editathons.

Meetings and conferences

1. CEllen participated in Wikimania 2019 in Stockholm - Wikimedia Ukraine partial scholarship
2. CEllen and Strainu participated in the CEE Meeting 2019; Strainu had a lightning talk on gender gap and a roundtable discussing problems and solutions on maintaining long distance relationship between users.

Education

1. Articles about the islamic space - with the University of Bucharest
2. 3rd Translation project at UAIC
3. Presentation to a new generation of students in Cluj-Napoca

GLAM

While we have not done any classic GLAM work, we have participated in the 1Lib1Ref campaigns with editathons in București, Chișinău, Pitești and Galați.
