Event Description

Goals

Increase contributions to Wikimedia projects from Africa. Foster collaboration and friendly competition among African contributors.

Participants

25 contributors participated in the WikiChallenge, showcasing their dedication to knowledge sharing.

Event Outcomes

919 new articles were created or improved across Wikimedia projects, enhancing the representation of African topics. Strengthened connections and collaboration between African Wikimedia communities.

Event Learnings

Competitions can serve as effective motivators for increased contributions. Regional initiatives promote cross-cultural exchange and collaboration among Wikimedia communities.
