It would be good if we could get a documented decision-making process to make it clear and transparent for everyone how the user group make decisions. At the same time, we don't want to make it too complicated, but also not easy to coup. We discussed various limitations being used for votes in the movement today.
Some documented governance in existing user groups that could be an inspiration:
Do we want to apply for some (perhaps rapid) grants to reach some of our goals in the annual plan?
Discussion about the administration of grants and the burden that coume with reporting.
Possibly fiscal sponsors can be used to ease that burden.
Does the movement resources group have recommendations of fiscal sponsors to use?
If a grant is applied for, one could apply for the ability to hire someone to do the admin work.
It is also worth noting that if the user group gets a budget, it will have to create a regular annual report and have different reporting responsibilities towards the movement (whereas today we can just report that we don't have a budget).
