- the group supports the goals of the Wikimedia Foundation through encouraging editing and updating the sudanese content, translation related content into arabic and english, and raising the awareness about free culture values within the Sudanese Community.

- January 2015: Communication with telecom companies started and agreement to launch wikipedia-Zero, February: Discussion to start a user group, March to May : Reaching out and expanding membership, finalizing rules and structure of the group

- Sudan
5. Have there been any activities/meetings etc. of this group of people? If yes, please briefly describe some examples. This is not a requirement, just helpful information.
- Wikipedia-Zero Sudan is our pilot project, we coordinated with wikipedia-zero at wikimedia foundation and sudanese telecom companies, we also launched a media campaign and produced a short film to educate sudanese about our vision

7. What kind of activities are planned for the future in the user group?
Supporting Wikipedia-Zero and educating Sudanese about free access to Wikipedia at zero charge through cell phones, Meetups,How to edit and use wikimedia projects,Wikimedia-Sudan Open day, Translation campaigns.
