Susan and Damian, realizing that art jewelry on Wikipedia is highly underrepresented, started meeting in April 2014 to discuss with respected historians, academics, and writers, the ways in which this could be remedied. Our first meeting and curatorial edit-a-thon was at Houston MFA held by curator Cindi Strauss, and the first academic edit-a-thon is taking place today at Pratt Institute with Pratt jewelry academics and librarians. We plan to collaboratively organize more of these events at schools, libraries and museums, making American jewelry more visible on one of the world's great knowledge platforms. 4. Do you intend on becoming a legally registered entity in the next thirteen months? no 9. Do you have a bylaws for you entity? If yes, have the bylaws been reviewed by a lawyer/specialist? not yet 10. How can the Affiliations Committee and the Wikimedia Foundation help your group? We would love for a knowledgeable person in the field of art or design to review our submission- possibly even a person with jewelry expertise
