Gendergap & LGBTI+
[edit]This quarter the second and third parts of the WikiFriday triptych on resistance women followed in April and May. For the third part, on May 5 (during the Dutch Liberation Day holiday), as many as 42 participants came. Many participants were seen again during the WikiFridays on 26 May and 23 June. The WikiFriday of 23 June featured the theme of women in slavery, ahead of the Keti Koti celebration on 1 July and was organised with the collaboration of volunteers from the Wiki goes Caribbean project. An extra edit-a-thon was organised in collaboration with WIQD, an organisation for women students and scientists in quantum mechanics which attracted 20 enthusiastic participants.
Wiki goes Caribbean
[edit]On the 1st of June a WGC meet-up was hosted at the Dutch National Archive. Writer Ange Jesserun (nl WP) presented her book and talked about ways to conduct research. Her Dutch Wikipedia article was afterwards written by one of 22 participants of the meet-up.
GLAM
[edit]WMNL hosted one GLAM coordinators meet-up themed 'Tech edition' which was focused on Wikibase and IIF. 12 participants of various Dutch GLAM organisations took part in the meeting.
WMNL co-hosted two GLAM EU- meet ups for the GLAM project coordinators of the different European Wikimedian chapters, one on the 4th of April and one on the 30th of May.
Other activities
[edit]From 29 May to 30 June the Open Kerken challenge, a photo challenge focused on interiors of churches, was supported by WMNL, resulting in 3317 photographs uploaded by 158 participants.
