[edit]- Title:
Rules every wiki needs
- Language:
English
- Type:
Presentation and discussion
- Time needed:
20 minutes. How about if I prepare a short video of, say, 7 or ten minutes, and the rest we will have questions, answers, discusssion?
- Narrate your plan in details:
Every wiki needs rules. For example, your wiki must allow the editing of the content of other users. Some rules you agree on in the community. Other rules you receive from the wiki owner, such as the Wikimedia Foundation. Also, the nation states have laws that are important to know.
The presentation will introduce to the topic 'law and rules for wikis'. It will present basic ideas for a first analysis of a wiki set of rules. Maybe you want, after the session, have a look at 'your' home wiki and reconsider the rules.
- Any support you need:
It would be great to have a moderator who can help me with the technical aspects of a session. Also, it is always great to have someone who looks after the questions so that nobody is forgotten.
- How will this session be beneficial for the communities in India?:
Be aware of the rules your wiki has to follow, and of the rules you decide on in your wiki. The better your set of rules, the better you can cooperate in the wiki.
