Volunteer update
[edit]Bobby updated on the volunteer program, There was an incentive on the second survey, and it was suggested that with the third one, there should be an incentive given, to the Wikiminans to give morale, it was further suggested that a book voucher should be given as an incentive, need to think smarter in how the questions are phrased. Bobby to work on the wording of questions. Shupai to speak to bobby to send previous documents on previous volunteer surveys.
Admin onboard update
[edit]Shupai has had some onboarding training with all four members, she has had a grasp of most of the details of the work itself. She now needs to know about tasks being worked on with board members (volunteers) so she can be the source of support and reminder on tasks. It was proposed to other fellow volunteers to train Shupai on Wikimedia work itself especially on editing so her work can be intensified. It was suggested that the admin and the chair have one on one meetings and board members fill the administrator on what they are working on. It was mentioned that there might be some time constraints, but she can still reach out to board members and find out how they can work together and assist.
Timeshift for board meeting
[edit]Agenda is parked for the next meeting.
Project proposal document/form
[edit]A template was put together, which was sent to board members, which will be shared with the rest of the community members. Time needs to be allocated to sit with board members so we can have an idea of what projects they want to work on for the year. It was said prizes are always good to give out, so Wikimedians can know that they are valued. Wynand supports Deon's idea for prizes, but certain criteria on who gets prizes, annual prizes giving's should be normalised and this should include all indigenous languages. It is not advised to give monetary prizes, it can be book vouchers, laptops, phones or data for a year. It was said it will be good to reach out to schools in terms of editing but as contributors.
