Wikimedia Foundation Executive Director Transition Team/2016/Updates/CW19 update

The steering group had a meeting on May 11, where the planned community survey was the major topic. Plan is to prepare a short survey in our 10 major project languages to get additional input about job priorities, skills and expectations also from our broader community, including emerging communities and projects beyond English. The group invited Edward Galvez to advise, and it became quite clear that we need some weeks to prepare translations, invite via banners, conduct the survey and interpret the results.

The current draft timeline is to prepare a draft job description until mid June and launch the public search end of June.

Kathleen Yazbak is preparing a day in the office early June to get more input from staff. She will also be invited to as a guest for joining the Board meeting at Wikimania. Additionally a meeting with the Advisory Board members at Wikimania was suggested. Alice is figuring out with Wikimania organizers if there is an opportunity for a session or discussion with the community during the conference.
