The Community Events Team is a part of the Operations Department at the Wikimedia Foundation. Our team is here to support you in any of your community event's needs. We see our work with all events organizers as a partnership and wish to provide you with the best service possible.

Our Work
Events are an important part of the infrastructure in the Wikimedia movement, enabling movement building, knowledge sharing, partnership and outreach opportunities, and much more. They enable us to connect, to learn from one another, to collaborate on shared goals, and to unify around common agendas.
Our vision is to have a global events ecosystem that fosters a thriving movement for all. We wish to do that by developing and designing events to serve a global, diverse and innovative community, by supporting mission-aligned people and organizations around the world to increase the quantity, quality, diversity and reach of free knowledge.
