[edit]2021-05-24: GLAM in Mikulov
[edit]Based on the participation in the conference Modernization of Museum Depositories and the conditions of making them available to the public, the Regional Museum in Mikulov approached us for GLAM cooperation.
Together we are now working on a Commons-database of famous personalities from the vicinity of Mikulov and collection items that are related to these personalities. This form of cooperation was designed by the wikipedist GeXeS, who is also an employee of the museum and who thus fit into the role of a wiki-resident.
For more information follow us on GLAM FB.

[edit]2021-05-21: Dozens of Prague librarians have learned how to edit Wikipedia
[edit]During May, we carried out three trainings for librarians from the Municipal Library of Prague. As part of employee education, we trained a total of 28 applicants from many branches of the Prague library. The participants not only tried editing in the sandbox, but also improved the actual articles within the 1Lib1Ref campaign, which runs from May 15 to June 5, 2021. Feedback from participants was very positive, so we look forward to another bit of Wikipedia, Wikidata or Wikimedia Commons enrichment.
2021-05-29: Teachers from Prague looked into options how to use Wikipedia in school
[edit]For Místní akční plán vzdělávání (Local Action Group for education) at district Prague 12, we organized a short training on May 25, 2021, during which secondary school teachers got acquainted with the details of how Wikipedia works and how to use this knowledge in their teaching. Wikipedia is suitable not only for passive learning, it is even better suited for active learning – when students have to think about the background and quality of information they find on the Internet.
