Abstract:
The Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region is leading the way in innovative thematic work, creating participation and contribution spaces for diverse audiences or audiences of different age group within the Wikimedia movement. The sub-thematic work within the region has inspired many affiliates and community members within CEE and beyond. Initiatives like WikiClubs, WikiCamp, and Senior Write Wikipedia have set benchmarks in educational projects. This session will serve as a call to action, focusing on documenting and creating case studies, standardizing practices within the sub-thematic work happening in the region, identifying key learning, and expanding successful practices across CEE to globally. By promoting collaboration and active participation in hub spaces, our goal is to engage more affiliates in this unified approach, fostering collective thematic discussions and sharing best practices through hub knowledge spaces. |
