Summary
[edit]Regional conferences such as the CEE-Meeting bring people together. As such, the CEE-Meeting aims to increase collaboration among affiliates, as specified in the topics for strategic discussions. While much of such exchange about possible collaboration happens in between sessions in informal spaces, it is also beneficial to have a plenary session where all conference attendees come together and identify the most important or pressing questions related to collaboration within the regional group. This session hopes to faciliate this process in a workshop format for the entire group of conference participants. Participants will be able to brainstorm ideas and questions in small groups and then get right to work by developing some of these ideas further and idenfifying next steps. In the end, all those ideas and action plans will be shared with the larger group and will hopefully kick-start conversations and actions for the remainder of the conference. As such, it would be preferable to have this workshop take place early in the conference (e.g. first session on Saturday morning) in order for the session to have the most impact.
Expected outcomes
[edit]The desired outcome of this session would be a clear picture of the most important questions related to collaboration among CEE affiliates and first ideas for action on how to answer some of these questions. At the end of the session, participants will have the chance to work on one specific question of their choosing and brainstorm first solutions and next steps together in small groups.
Duration (without Q&A)
[edit]120 minutes
Specific requirements
[edit]I would need about 30 sheets of flipchart paper, 30 flipchart markers and tables arranged in banquet style.
