What is the main goal of your project?
  • The project "Photographing Azerbaijan's Museum Heritage" aims to document and showcase museum artifacts through photography. It includes creating a digital archive to make these items more accessible for research. The project also seeks to facilitate in-depth study and increase public awareness of museum heritage. Additionally, it will provide educational resources for schools and museums to enhance learning about these cultural treasures.
Describe which activities you plan to implement
  • First, items from different Azerbaijani museums will be carefully selected and categorized. Modern equipment will then be used to take detailed photos, capturing the texture and condition of each exhibit. Photos will be taken from various angles to ensure all details are covered. Important information, like the date and author, will be added to each image. The images will be stored in digital formats like JPEG or TIFF. Finally, the files will be uploaded on Wikimedia Commons using proper licenses.
