- We organized for in-person meet ups within Turkana County - Provided data support to 5 participants - Held Wikimania campaign and roadshows in Turkana County

1. Wikimania Campaign in Turkana County TAKE-AWAYS - The community around embraced this session whereby, they wanted more of the same because it was the first of its kind in Turkana and they felt that they had not covered enough with regards to understanding more about wikimania. 2.Wikimania Roadshows - Our community is a pastoral community that moves from one place to another in search of pasture. By roadshows the information about wikimania was successfully disseminated to the communities outside the municipality because we were able to move around the county in at-least four wards. TAKE-AWAYS - When information is taken to the people without them being affected by logistical challenges, the community always receives it positively with the zeal of wanting to learn and know more with regards to the subject shared to them. 3. Social Media sessions This helped in awareness creation of wikimania 2022 and were able to engage with the community and get them in believing in the power of telling and sharing our cultural and African stories through editing of articles through wikimania. TAKE - AWAYS This being the first activity of its kind in Turkana County, it was a wake-up call for everyone to go beyond being information disseminators to being information lenders and we encouraged them to tell stories of community within local, national and global platforms.
