How did you attend Wikimania (virtually or in-person)?

I attended Virtually through Pheedloop, Zoom and YouTube

What did you spend the scholarship funds on?

I spent the Scholarship Funds on data, transport to the city for good internet connection and made it possible to the event for four days.

Takeaways – choose 3 specific Wikimania sessions you attended and describe your key take-aways per session.

I attended the Following sessions: • Education and Partnership • Leadership Development Working Group • Wikimedia Sound logo Roundtable • Education and Partnership: This session stresses the need for Cooperation, Collaboration and Communication among different parties (Teachers, Students and the Administrators) to work together so as to achieve quality education with the included use of Wikipedia for the common welfare of an institution and also to improve student's learning. • Leadership Development Working Group: From this session, i learnt that anybody can be a leader depending on the context and leadership is not just referring to the Administrators of Wikipedia and their affiliate groups. Another vital takeaway from this session is knowing that investing in people's leadership skills can lead to a successful project and movement sustainability. Also, noting that leadership is a collective input and not that of just an individual. • Wikimedia Sound logo Roundtable: The importance of Audio Branding in an Audio driven World was one keynote during the session and also knowing that people react to sound 17% faster than words.

How did you connect with other people during Wikimania 2022? How did you celebrate at Wikimania 2022?

wikimania 2022 served as an opportunity for me to interact with other people through the program chat. I gave guidelines to a few people on how to navigate the pheedloop interface, and also received more clarification from experienced people on things I did not understand. Partaking in this year's wikimania has generally been a great experience for me. To conclude, I celebrated the program by participating virtually and it has been a wonderful experience of education coupled with entertainment of cultural displays. I therefore look forward to participating in more wikimania programs to further broaden my knowledge in wikipedia projects.
