Specifically, knowledge that relates to and enhances the understanding of Africa via the Open Movement (and especially Wikipedia). Her passions and experiences have evolved into the position of project manager of w:WikiAfrica at the Africa Centre. WikiAfrica is a cross-continental collaborative project that aims at encouraging and supporting communities and memory institutions across Africa to actively contribute to Wikipedia and its sister projects. Isla has been a dedicated Wikipedian since 2011, and is a board member of Wikimedia South Africa. She is also doing Masters at UCT in African Studies, looking at the impact that source-generated, truthful online content has on an individual and the larger community.
- Dumisani Ndubane: media relations. He has been editing Wikipedia and Wikiversity since 2008, but rather prefer steady wikimedian to Veteran Wikimedian. He is serving his second term as President of Wikimedia ZA (Oooh!), and takes that very seriously. He is project lead too many cool wikimedia ZA projects, than he actually knows... But accepts responsibility anyway. He understands, voltages, currents, power factor correction and other confusing Electrical Engineering words. If you are Media and Wanna have relations (Get your mind out of the gutter) with Wikimania 2015 Bid team, he is your man. He generally looks forward to meeting other Wikimaniacs in Cape Town in 2015.

A member of Wikimania 2015 bid committee.
- James Hare: James Hare is the president of Wikimedia DC and one of its founding board members. He has been a Wikipedia volunteer since 2004, where he has made numerous small contributions as well as some larger ones. He edits under the username Harej. In 2012, he was the lead organizer for the Wikimania 2012 conference. He has a degree in political science from American University with a concentration in American government.
- MADe: Wikipedia volunteer since 2005 and board member of Wikimedia ZA. Working with an international energy company, he will support the bid with his project- and risk management skills.
