Pour permettre à un grand nombre de francophones d'assister à Wikimania 2012, Wikimédia France a ouvert un programme de bourses. Parmi les conditions d'attribution, le récipiendaire s'engageait à faire des comptes-rendus en français des sessions auxquelles ils a assisté.
