Tell us about your proposed project. What will you get achieved with this time?
Describe why you think this project is important, and how the project is different from your normal volunteer contributions.

KALI ACADEMY is organizing Hackoctoberfest DRCongo at the end of the month of October 2020. The call for proposal is already launched and we are about to apply. We are planning to do 3 activities:

  • a talk on Wikicite in general
  • a do-a-thon on Scholia/Wikidata
  • a hack-a-thon on Scholia, Citation.js

Note that the main language for the conference is French.

Your qualifications[edit]

Describe how you (and, if applicable, your team) are able to achieve this project. What skills, expertise, and motivation do you have which will enable you to succeed?

We are software engineers and OSS advocates. We organize and/or speak at conferences, hackathons, install-party... We are also community influencers and represent the city in many Wikimedia related conferences or workshops: Wikimania, Wikiconvention francophone, Wikiindaba, East Africa Strategic salon (Wikimedia 2030)... Proposed activity dates[edit]

When will you undertake this project? (This may be two, three or four days. Not necessarily consecutive). The latest allowable date is 1 May 2021.
