Wiki Wednesday
Appearance
Wiki Wednesday is an informal designation for events, typically informal and unstructured, for people interested in wiki and online collaboration to meet up, socialize, discuss relevant ideas, demonstrate new features or software they're working on, or work on wikis. They have been held in many places since at least 2007, sometimes with a focus on Wikimedia wikis, but typically with a broader focus.
The idea was noted in the English Wikipedia's Signpost in October 2007: w:en:Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/2007-10-15/News and notes
